Thealoz Gel (15mL)  

Thealoz Gel comes with 400 drops designed to moisturize, protect, and lubricate the surface of the eye in people with moderate to severe dry eye symptoms. It can also be used after certain eye surgeries when recommended by an eye-care professional.

Active Ingredients

The 15 mL multidose bottle contains:

• Trehalose 3% – a sugar that helps protect eye-surface cells from drying and stress.
• Sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) 0.15% – attracts and retains moisture, improving lubrication.
• Carbomer 0.25% – a gel-forming polymer that increases how long the product remains on the eye.

Other ingredients include sorbitol, sodium hydroxide, and sterile water.

What It Is Used For

Thealoz Gel is commonly used for:

• Dry eye disease
• Burning or stinging eyes
• Gritty or sandy sensation
• Eye irritation from environmental factors
• Long-lasting lubrication during sleep
• Support after some eye surgeries (if advised by a clinician)

How It Works

The three ingredients work together:

1. Trehalose protects cells from dehydration.
2. Hyaluronic acid provides hydration and lubrication.
3. Carbomer forms a protective gel layer that stays on the eye longer than standard eye drops.

Because of the carbomer, it generally lasts longer than regular lubricating drops.

How to Use

Typical directions:

• 1 drop in each affected eye as needed or as recommended by your eye doctor. 
  
• Particularly useful before bedtime because the gel remains longer on the eye surface.

Contact Lens Users

• Remove contact lenses before applying.
• Wait approximately 30 minutes before reinserting lenses.
